Bio:
Yining Feng is a Postdoctoral scholar in department of Geography at Indiana University. Feng has been trained in both quantitative and qualitative methods and has studied theories from a range of disciplines across social sciences and engineering management. Her current research focuses on environmental migration and the use of big data in social science. Her dissertation examines mobility and migration triggered by natural disasters, investigating the differentiation of migration responses across spatial and temporal scales using national housing address data. Additionally, she analyzes variations along the rural-urban continuum. Beyond this, Feng is also interested in the interdisciplinary integration of computational, statistical, and visual analytic approaches to explore climate change and its societal impacts.
